William Henry Harrison

Dying To Be President
There's a saying that, "There is a first time for everything."  This could not be more true in the case of William Henry Harrison, as he was the first president to die in office.  Harrison, known to his friends as both "Old Tippecanoe" (true) and "The Missile" (false), contracted a cold on March 4, 1841.  The cold worsened and he died a month later.  Harrison set a record for serving the shortest term of any American President: 31 days, twelve hours, and 30 minutes.  Talk about short but sweet!
